9Teen is a collection of New England musicians who are infatuated with the music of Steely Dan.
We got together in 1999 after a split from the award-winning Down East. We booked a few Steely Dan Tribute shows and then started adding some great old Classic Rock, Funk and R&B tunes. Today, we perform all over New England. The recent addition of Lisa Wilson on acoustic guitar, percussion and lead vocals has added a vibrant new stage prescense to our presentation.
Thanks to the efforts of Webmaster Dan Parcell, the site's starting to look pretty cool. We have a lot of favorite sites ourselves and you can check them our through the links below.
Our favorite site is, of course, The Official Steely Dan Home Page. The site has got everything for Dan Fans. Thanks to the folks at The Banyan Trees we are now a member of The Steely Dan Webring. At the bottom of our Home page, you can use their tool to easily visit tons of other Steely Dan sites!
Other cool Dan sites include Dandom, The Steely Dan Shrine and Fever Dreams: Weird lyrical interpretations & stuff.
There's other SD Tribute bands out there as well: Steely Damned (What?!?), There's even international Steely Dan tributes. Italy:The Scurvy Brothers, England: Nearly Dan and Steely Scam, Denmark:Stilig Dan and Poland: Polucjanci (especially for our friend Mr. Sadowski).
